This is an excellent BBQ place with easy off and on access from Hwy 33 (exit 196) in Athens, OH. They have a dog friendly outdoor patio. The smoked chicken hind quarters are excellent, as are the three sides we chose: creamy buttermilk coleslaw, fresh cut fries, and baked beans. Servers were attentive and friendly. Definitely visit again for lunch next time we pass through. Fountain drinks are self-serve. Restrooms are clean. Ample parking.

I meant to take pictures, but our food was gone before I remembered! Totally delicious pulled pork sandwiches - perfect texture, really flavorful, and not fatty at all. We added sides of fries, onion rings, cole slaw, and cornbread biscuits, which were all really tasty and obviously homemade, as well as generous, even for the individual size. Ordering and paying from the QR code on our table was convenient for our family of five, and our food came out fast. The restaurant was also clean, roomy, and modern on the inside. I'm so glad we stopped to eat here. I wish there were a Kiser's back home!

Legit. I have a hard time eating out sometimes because I feel like I can cook better food. Not here. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and devoured it. $8.95 you gotta be kidding me, unbelievable price. Fries and cornbread were excellent as well. 2 of us ate for $22 but I would gladly have paid more. I’ll certainly be coming back next I visit my son at OU. Nice work Kiser’s.
